And so begins another school year. Here’s hoping that everyone has an easy transition over the next couple of weeks.

Regrading Further Explained

Curious for a little more details on what the budget for Legacy Park is shaping up to look like? While we can’t get too specific yet, here’s what we can share!

Buy a Brick

Ever walk through town square and admire the brickwork? Maybe you thought “Wow! What a great way to immortalize yourself in a public space that everyone in the community can enjoy. I wish I had the chance when town square was being designed and built.”

You’re in luck!

Legacy Park is going to need a lot of bricks. Similar to the fence posts and tiles for the current playground, we are going to be selling engraved bricks. Sales for these bricks aren’t open just yet, but be on the look out for this fundraiser to go live soon. Take a peek at the samples at our tent at Arts Fest! This could be an excellent class of 2026 graduation gift or for that Jenkintown lifer you love!

Upcoming Events and Volunteer Opportunities

Annual Arts Fest on Sunday September 21: Make sure to stop at the Legacy Park table! We will be selling merchandise, showing off the engraved brick samples, and will be there to answer any questions you have about the park. We will also be joined by Melinda Levandowski from Attic Art who wil be selling art work to benefit Legacy Park. Like all of our other events, we could use some volunteer help that day. Please email Karen Arnold-Korzeniowski at [email protected].

Backyard Bonfires: Are you a hostess with the mostest? Would you want to have a small gathering of your charitably minded friends over to help support the cause? We will provide the s’mores and you provide the support! Reach out to us by email if you’re interested!

Newcomers cross over event: We are excited to partner with the Jenkintown Newcomers for a new fall event! Stay tuned for more details!

We need your help at these events! Sign up to volunteer here.

We are so thankful for all of the support this summer. While looking towards some big financial hurdles coming quickly, we are hopeful that Jenkintown and all who love it will continue to spread the word about the project and contribute any way you can. Donations will get this project across the finish line, so whether your making them or helping to find them we are all in this together!

Thank you for being a part of our Legacy!
