We wanted to give all our supporters an invitation to our last hurrah Goodbye Picnic and our Community Build Week. Please see the flyers and links below to learn more and sign up!
Goodbye Picnic, Friday March 20th

After school on Friday March 20th from 3:30-6:30 PM we will be throwing a Goodbye Picnic to honor all the memories made at the beloved Jenkintown Castle. This will be the last chance to climb, play, swing and pretend on the structure before demolition over Spring Break. We will have picnic dinners for sale and an amazing auction of donated items from sports teams and local haunts. Games will be played and there will even be a chance to leave a goodbye message on the castle in sharpie for all to see in its final days. All proceeds from this event will help us reach our goal of 1.5 million dollars. This is also when wooden (not composite) fence slats can be picked up by those who donated them. Bricks will also be for sale as we wrap up our fundraising. You won’t want to miss this fun family event!
Build Week July 28 – August 2
Calling all helpers! The community build aspect of the current and future playground is a tradition in Jenkintown. Taking a page from the last time the playground was constructed, we will be relying on the hard work of community members to bring the new playground to life.
All ability levels are encouraged to sign up – we have a role for everyone! Food service, art installation, skilled crew leaders, and so much more. It will be a week filled with fun, community spirit, and working together towards something we can all be proud of. You can sign up here. Please reach out to us by email if you have any questions or ideas to offer for the week. Share with your friends and neighbors – we need all the help we can get!

Almost at our goal!
We have fundraised over 1.16 million dollars and only have a short way left to go! If your employer matches gifts or you would like to contribute a large donor directed gift, please reach out to us and we can assist you.
And of course if you yourself would like to donate, you can always do so by clicking here. Another great way to provide ongoing support is to become a monthly member.
We will move forward with the project regardless of reaching the final $1.5 million goal, but in order to fulfill the entire scope of phase one, we need to hit our numbers. The tot lot (lovingly called J-Town Jr.) and the Hillside slides are what we are working towards with this last push!
Pennants
We have wonderful red and blue pennants for sale. These felt pennants are available in blue or red and have been cut, sewn, and screenprinted by some amazing community volunteers. Interested in buying one (or two, or three)? Stop by the wonderful Capricorn Books to support a local Jenkintown business and Legacy Park at the same time. All proceeds from the pennant sales will come back to Legacy Park.

Upcoming Partnerships
June Hines Pilates, located right here in the Borough, is excited to partner with us for an amazing Magic Circle workshop. ALL proceeds will benefit Legacy Park. You can register directly with the studio. New to pilates? Come as an observer, jump in to participate, or join via Zoom.

Roadmap
We are down to the final stages, we have 68 days left to bring this project to life. Looking back at 2025 we are astounded at how far the project has come and how generous our community has been. Join the effort, keep the momentum, let’s build this Legacy!
