We’re thrilled to share that our Throwback Party was a fantastic success —thanks to an incredible team of planners, generous sponsors, and a vibrant, fun-loving community!
A huge round of applause to our planning dream team: Rachel Holt-Biles, Bridget Osborne, Jackie Lamplugh, Christine Fox, and Michelle McIntyre. Your creativity, organization, and energy made this event truly unforgettable!
We’re also deeply grateful to our community sponsors who helped bring it all to life: Mr. Rick’s, Immaculate Conception Parish, Newbold’s, Bella’s, and Human Robot. Your support means the world to us. The event was well attended, the throwback outfits were on point, and the dance floor stayed busy all night. Best of all, we raised over $1,875.00—a testament to the power of community and good times for a great cause. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the night one to remember. Until next time… stay groovy!

Get to Know our Board Members
Each newsletter, we’d like to introduce you further to one of our board members, this month it’s Karen!
Karen Arnold-Korzeniowski is a mom to three children (Joey 14, Lily 8, and Ava 7) who have all attended the Jenkintown schools since moving into the neighborhood in 2022. Professionally, Karen’s background is in oncology nursing and currently she is the Managing Editor of OncoLink, a Penn Medicine website that provides free oncology education and tools for patients, their loved ones, and healthcare providers. When looking to move from their former home, Jenkintown was first on the list for Karen and
her family and they often visited the playground while looking at homes. It was always a place the whole family felt welcomed and comfortable, and Karen is honored to continue to help make Legacy Park a reality for current and future families to enjoy.

Sneak Peek
Below is a proposed material and color pallete for the new park. We listened to survey results to ensure the charm of the orginial castle remains in an updated way that will require less maintence and be as sustainable as possible. Notice the nod to the historic buildings in town with our J-Town Jr inspiration. Composite wood and slate bring a natural feel to our historic grounds. Trees and shade are a large priority, utilizing existing plantings and adding many more. The brick paving will be engraved and run as a fundraiser and memory walk. Lastly, updated fencing around the entire space with a new entrance off Florence Ave and a mimicing iconic arch for the elementary side. We can’t wait to show you more at the Red and Blue Fair on May 17th!
